O. Iosefovich,
2020

Today, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a decrease in the coverage of preventive vaccinations of the population in the world, which can cause outbreaks of vaccine-preventable infections, lead to an increase in morbidity and mortality in young children. According to WHO recommendations, potential contact with an infectious disease, including COVID-19, is not a contraindication for routine immunization. Therefore, it is possible and necessary to carry out routine vaccination in accordance with the vaccination schedule, even during a pandemic. There is a danger that COVID-19 could become a seasonal disease, so vaccine development is the most pressing problem of our time. Vaccines are currently being developed on numerous technology platforms, including RNA and DNA vaccines, subunit recombinant, live-attenuated and viral vectors vaccines.
