Sulfur-containing aromatic compounds, toxins and pharmacologically active metabolites of macromycetes

The paper deals with S-containing compounds involved in the creation of odor, toxic properties and medical value of macromycetes. Data on the chemical structure and biological activity of organosulfides, cyclic peptides, ergothioneine and S-containing polysaccharides are analyzed. Macromycete species containing sulfides, toxins and ergothioneine are presented.
