Respiratory diseases represent chronic non-communicable diseases and are one of the most socially and economically significant groups of diseases of the present time. Follow-up monitoring of patients with respiratory diseases at the stage of primary health care is one of the most important factors in providing timely correction of treatment, prevention of exacerbations and monitoring the course of the disease. The spread of a new coronavirus infection represents an additional threat to complications of chronic respiratory diseases and poses new challenges for primary health care. The current order of the Ministry of health of the Russian Federation No. 173n «On approval of the procedure for conducting dispensary monitoring of adults» contains a description of the frequency and details of the examination of patients by a physician. However, due to the urgency of improving the quality of care for patients with respiratory diseases, experts decided to create a series of guidelines on the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and dispensary monitoring of respiratory diseases.
