Experience in treatment of patients with the new coronavirus infection - COVID-19 complicated with pneumonia in the intensive care department of a city hospital

The analysis of the first months of treatment of patients with the new coronavirus infection - COVID-19 in the intensive care unit of the city hospital was carried out. A severe course of the disease was observed in 28.4 % of cases. The need for mechanical ventilation was noted in 72 % of patients. The mortality rate was 63.7 %. The results obtained formed the basis for the development of optimal tactics for managing patients, rational antiviral and antibiotic therapy.
