This paper describes the following major difficulties faced by the Endoscopic Examination Service of the Filatov’s State Clinical Hospital 15 during re-profiling into a COVID-19 specialized hospital: staff shortage and difficulties in personal protective gear work. The measures that have been taken with regard to the endoscopic examination service are specified in detail: cease of scheduled endoscopic examinations, strengthening of endoscopic teams with additional staff during complex manipulations, rejecting the use of fiber optic devices. Results of examinations carried out including hemorrhaging endoscopic papillotomy, lithoextrac-tion, and endoscopic hemostasis have been described. It was concluded that as a result of the reforms carried out, the endoscopic service was able to fulfill completely the assigned tasks.
