In this review current knowledge of disease etiology, pathogenesis, epidemiology, clinical and laboratory diagnostics, therapy and prevention, which were collected from publications of Russian specialists and researchers from different countries were summarized. Recommendations contained in the document are largely based on factual information published by experts from the World Health Organization, the Chinese and U.S. Centers for Disease Control, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, and on materials from temporary methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer rights protection and human well-being data.
