These trends have received an additional impetus due to the quarantine regime during coronavirus pandemic. The necessary changes to business processes related to the operation of megascience facilities in distant mode are discussed. The role of e-Infrastructure (including the construction of digital twins) as an essential part of unique scientific facilities is revealed. The idea of a possible new form of international scientific research is formulated.
